T fabrics project

juin 1st, 2008 by toma

As aforementioned in one of my previous posts, the project is coming to light. Here are two prototypes. If thinks look good after a few washing machine tests, tees should be available by the end of July. And just in case you ask, yes, these are real fabrics hand sewed. Crazy isn’t it ?

Charley Harper

Shame on me : I’ve just found out the existence of graphic designer Charley Harper. I’m stoked to read that he died last year, after decades devoted to graphic design. I’m totally breathless browsing his art tonight. I’ve hardly seen in ten years something as perfect as these illustrations. Skateboarders will appreciate his works as it may have been great inspiration for estimated brand Habitat Skateboards.

For those, like me, who want to know everything about Harper, you can buy the latest Charley Harper’s book or have a look at this dedicated Flickr Pool.

Olympique de Marseille 2008 - 2009 shirt

mai 18th, 2008 by toma

Yesterday was the last Ligue 1 championship day, and as usual, Lyon won the title as they do for seven years now. But the nice thing came from Marseille. By reaching the third place, Marseille qualifies for Champion’s League, what is really awesome for this soccer French monument. And moreover, they ‘ll run 2009 Ligue 1 Championship with the trendiest soccer shirt ever seen. Love it.

I’m leading my creative thoughts to a new project these days. Something made of T-shirts with fabrics cut-off weapons. Hard to describe with words, but absolutely lightful in my mind. Further details will flow in the coming weeks. For those who look for expert websites for retro fabrics, here are the heavyweigths: Retro Depot & Quilt home

Here are a few websites I keep my eyes on these days. I definitely stopped visiting kind of portal websites. I’m fed up with the fresh trends full of fluos, I wanted to be flooded with type inspiration and go back to some basic and expressive works :
Grainedit, Aisleone, and the very good fffound concept for the pics. Thanks for the rich content guys.
